Dana Scully is a fictional FBI special agent and medical doctor, best known as one half of the iconic duo in the science fiction TV show, The X-Files.
She first appeared in the pilot episode of The X-Files, which aired in 1993. Partnered with Agent Fox Mulder, Scully initially serves as the skeptical, scientific counterpoint to Mulder's belief in the paranormal.
